Re: Monson's Sticks: Cheap Single Camera Rig w/ Remote Shutt
I can never look at pneumatic devices such as this without remembering my early days with vehicles... A friend had something called a Hillman Imp (un-affectionally known as a 'Limp' or 'Blimp' to those in the know!) that for reasons only known to the manufacturers had a pneumatic throttle. Probably ...

Re: Medium range cameras
y thoughts? Is manual focus + chdk really a necessary set of criteria? Perhaps it depends on what you're doing and what your expectations are. I have never used manual focus and up until recently was using an A430 without CHDK (I now have an A530 with CHDK but only for remote shutter purposes). For...

Re: SD Memory Cards Discussion & Ratings
Can't say I've over-used mine but I have A-data and Sandisk from memory. No problem with either. I think Sandisk are a fairly well recognised brand but cost a little more than some others. If you were having trouble it may be worth that little bit extra for a better quality card.

Re: June 1st only: free PDFZilla "PDF OCR" software download
I went to have a look but was too late, from what I could see some of the negative comments related to Win7 and language issues which are probably not a complete deal-buster. I'd be interested to hear if anyone managed to download it and what you thought of it.

Re: Renaming UI elements
Well I thought I'd put my money where why mouth is so to speak and have a wee play with a drawing package today. I've created three icons, purely for interest to see what you think. They're not that flash but in conjunction with the proposed changes I'd like to think that something similar may assis...

Re: Renaming UI elements
Interesting, my view is that you got it mostly right first time around Tulon ;) I wouldn't change 'Split pages', it says exactly what it means. If you do change it however it should be 'Cut' singular, not 'Cuts' plural I wouldn't change 'Select content', it says exactly what it means. I might change...
