Re: Post process software for Mac ?

Does such a wishful thinking exist ? Or am I back to square one with my tired and true, but agonizing sllOOOWWWW. ~caelum If you've got the resources, you can use Adobe Lightroom 3, Scan Tailor, and Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I think Adobe Lightroom 3 can be replaced by other software if you don't need t...

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX

Zamacam, how are you downloading the source code? Well, as described in the first post of this thread. I grab the latest sources using the web interface. I download a tarball, uncompress and untar it and then run the traditional build commands. By the way, on Mac OS 10.6 with the latest Qt availabl...

Re: Building Scan Tailor on OSX

I was unable to build latest sources ... Try now. It works. Thanks :-) I noticed a warning during compilation. I don't know if it's important or not. So, just in case: [...] Scanning dependencies of target deskew [ 52%] Building CXX object filters/deskew/CMakeFiles/deskew.dir/ImageView.cpp.o [ 53%]...

Re: First build with automatic dewarping

Thank you for this interesting answer Tulon. Even if I'm working in a law deparment, I'm working with programers and it is always interesting to understand how the magic works :-) By the way, I had to say that Beta 9 works fine here. The only problem I have was examined here http://diybookscanner.or...

Re: First build with automatic dewarping

The only thing I could think of was if you delete all but 4 vertices on the grid, you basically get de-keystoning... Right. BTW, you don't even have to delete midpoints - as long as they are on the same line. The control points don't matter by themselves - they only help the user to control the sha...

Re: Dekeystoning with a checkerboard

Just for information, qrpc sometime fails to detect a key image. I finally found a possible reason: exposure is too slow. If I modify the supposed white background to pure white, qrpc finds the key image.

I'm attaching two images as example if someone what to do some tests.

Re: First build with automatic dewarping

I've got a crash using Scantailor 1.0 Beta 8. Here the output available in terminal: imac:~ david$ ./Desktop/scantailor/_scantailor-1.0-beta8/scantailor Floating point exception imac:~ david$ Scantailor was running on Mac OS 10.6.6. I builded it from sources (using up to date macport). It worked nic...

Re: Dekeystoning with a checkerboard

Hi Rob, I did some new tests and I'm happy to be able to write that all worked as expected. Thank you very much Rob to have fixed these bugs. I have books with maps and graphics and for the first time, lines on images are perfectly parallels, squares are squared and my maps are displayed as they are...
