In fact those type of flanged bearing are used in glider chair....Expensive for sure at 2$ each for more than 100 but still an easy solution ?????

I received my "hackerspace" scanner kit and am very exicited!

My plan is to scan in all my music, then build a custom music desk for my piano that has an LCD screen in it but looks otherwise normal.

In the meantime, I can just keep an iPad on the music desk. I hate to sound like an Apple fan-boy, but the "retinal" (how I hate that term) display on the new iPad 3 really makes reading scanned documents a better experience.

I've tried to redo the depth sketch of the design files for the .9.20 hackerspace scanner build before sending things off to the cnc. I have looked closely at the .9.10 files, the assembly instructions, videos and more, but I am sure I have made some mistakes.

The tabs on the braces fit into the slots on the large face plates. So whatever dimensions you made those slots, that's how big the tabs have to be.

Also, the design files are (accidentally) incomplete, I discovered yesterday. The pulleys and triggers were not included. They are in the previous release.

Rob's right, the thickness of the remaining wood on those red-indicated areas matches the slots on the front and rear face pieces. In this case, that thickness is .5"
