I'm in the process of building my first DIY Book Scanner. I have chosen the BuckPuck/LED option for my lighting. I would like to use the +5V Reference pin to power my remote triggers. Do I simply connect the +5V Reference pin to the red wire of the USB cable and connect the black wire of the USB cable to the LED- output pin of the BuckPuck? Do I need to place a capacitor across the connection?daniel_reetz wrote:The fact that the BuckPuck gives 5V means it could also trigger CHDK enabled powershots... lots of nice options here.
Otherwise, I will just buy a step-up converter to boost the voltage from my camera 3V DC power supply to 5V (3V will not trigger my A495's). Any help would be appreciated.
