what kind of light to use?

i'm totally new to diy scanners and everything, what light bulb show i use to produce good lighting? anyone got links to ones that they recommend? amazon or ebay links?

As long as you get enough light on the page, you can use just about any kind of light. Some people use the clamp-on halogens, others use high-power LEDs. There are a couple threads just on lighting, so I'd suggest that you read those first.
