12x9x3" - 30.48x22.86x7.2cm.
It will accommodate books somewhat larger than that, and can be modified to do bigger and thicker books, but I will not guarantee that it will work well.

Re: DIY Book Scanner Kits Now Available!
Hi,
I am living in Hong Kong and would really like to buy one of these kits so that I can finally scan my books.
Although I am 'out travelling' until the end of October I would love to be able to start scanning in November.
I don't think there should be any difficulty shipping here apart from charging more for postage.
thanks for all your hard work so far...

Daniel,
Any news on the updated artwork?
(sorry, a bit impatient. I wish to have the first set out in the next two weeks)

The artwork has been updated to include the triggers and pulleys. It is now a complete representation of the parts. Thanks to Aegis for pointing out this error of mine.

Hi Daniel.
I use a company called JetCarrier.com when I buy things in US from companies that dont ship to Norway. JetCarrier gives you an american address and ships the packages from that address to scandinavia for you.
Is it ok for you to ship it like this?
If yes, what is the size and the weight of the package?

Hi,
I'm more of an observer of this forum than anything else... and I would love to have one for delivery in the UK. Any suggestions you have would be most welcome.
Thanking you in advance!

For round 2 I will ship anywhere but I will work with you to make sure it is the best option.
The package is 23x27x6.5inches and 40 pounds.

Re: DIY Book Scanner Kits Now Available!
Hello there!
I was wondering if I could purchase your current plans for your scanner. I live in Canada, in the outskirts of Montreal and shipping stuff here is quite difficult, long wait and very unsatisfying. (delivery people just leave my stuff outside, and it gets: lost/stolen/vandalized/broken). Not to mention customs here are A B****. I would much rather buy the best plywood I can get my hands on (any recommendations?) and pay the 1.50$/min+ if I can be sure to get unbroken parts. Plus i'd get to watch the cnc router in action and maybe if i'm crazy enough build one myself and start making scanners today and another knick-knacks. I've been following diy books scanner for a while. I built the first gen and had it for about 2 years now it still works great but I think it should retire now from my over 200 book scans(my back thanks you). I just cant wait to make one myself!
Many thanks,
Juan.
