to enable OCR - lighten background in box and darken text

ocr tools are failing to ocr text in book with lots of callout boxes
these boxes have critical content
are heavily darken background
and text is only slightly darker
so contrast between 2 (background and text) is tiny

what is best method to
- lighten the background of the callouts
- darken the text within the callout

graphicconverter cannot do this the developer told me
