Here's the solution so you will not need two bearings in the arms and have to flip the sheet to do the bearing trust (pocket)....


You put one bearing in the arm and one bearing into the support

If we put one bearing in the outisde of the arm like it was show and we put the other bearing in the outside of the brace on the book support, and we do the same for the main post at he right we are all set up and no problem to flip the sheet. )))

Is it clear enough ???

Hi guys,

I was looking at the bracket of the book craddle lifting they are machine on the inside to fit on the base of the book craddle. So we have to put the bearing on the inside of the book bracket in order to do not have to flip the sheet and we have to place the bearing on the arm in the inside with the washer show on the picture on page 8 of the assembly manual.

Different way of thinking, but it will work...

Hi Fab. I think this plan has a friction problem as shown in the drawing below.

Yeap, this plan have friction, but if you move the bearing on the support of the craddle inside an ad a washer between the arm and the craddle support you're all set.

You may move the bearing in the middle of the craddle arm to cut the axial play but i'm not to affraid of this.

I was looking at my autocad and I think I found an other way to skin this cat how about this one.



This is the easiest way I think. A deeper pocket in the arm and some washer will do the job.

Fab, it looks like your idea will work. Maybe instead of washers, use a nut as the spacer, since that is small enough in diameter, and much thicker than a washer. I'll have to try it, and if it works... congratulations, it will go into the next version!

Hi Fab. This plan has a friction problem because the bolt will be as one with the inner races of the bearings but the bolt head and washer will be tight to the arm which must freely turn opposite of the inner races. Cheers.
