OSX users: Prizmo developing pro-level scanning software

I'm in contact with the Creaceed Prizmo team. I sent them a couple emails about the future and concept for all in one book-to-ebook software on OSX. They're open to ideas about what would make an ideal pro-level scanning optimization software for users of iPhone and Mac.

Anyone with ideas and suggestions, feel free to post and keep the example content DRM-Free/Copyright-free/and or public domain.

They want start working on the pro-level Prizmo early 2011. At the moment, Creaceed's Prizmo is for Mac and iPhone only (to the best of my knowledge, but this could change as well--I don't know the direction nor specifics of the company).

All-in-one book-to-ebook? Are you talking about something like Scan Tailor plus OCR plus PDF/etc.?

Well, I can't really say I know or can identify based on other software models, to be fair.

I don't have enough information or a blueprint of their goals. But I did test-run their current level app and I highly encourage the growth of development of this kind of thing, especially for Mac users where optimization software is lacking. We have one hell of time getting an error-free/crash-free version of Scan Tailor, and that environment is already nearing it's end as described by Tulon himself: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=648#p6084

Although I think it's gonna be hard to find better apps than ST, I respectfully bow out of any comparison issues with the other outstanding, well used, and much needed projects currently in progress; albeit open source or closed.

A dev team that directly looks at iPhone and Mac with media transcription of physical materials is what I'm really interested in. While I don't have the skills to develop software for this, others do, and they have expressed intent.

I'm expelling free time & energy into this is because they appear eager and willing to improve their scanning software--with a 1 app approach--open to suggestions from do-it-yourself users like myself and perhaps anyone else with a great idea that couldn't otherwise execute on their own.

How much they lend from outside suggestions is not known.
