FIle this under 'luxury features': Is there a CHDK script that can power-on cameras when they receive current from their respective AC brick?
I'm not saying I'm too lazy to turn on my cameras, but when the power strip is flipped on, wouldn't it be cool if everything started up?
Probably impossible. A hardware/software separation here.

Hmm, yeah, it would be impossible because CHDK loads after the main OS loads. However, you could build this with a camera mod. If you took the camera apart and grabbed the leads to the power button, you could short them together with a transistor that was gated by your power supplies.
I love this idea... I've always kinda hated turning the cameras on.
