What Micro 4/3 cameras have external shutter releases?

Everything camera related. Includes triggers, batteries, power supplies, flatbeds and sheet-feeding scanners, too.

Has anyone ever posted expected shutter life on an EP-1? I could imagine doing the rest of my book collection with a pair of them...

I haven't seen any specs on that. Olympus doesn't list them on their site or in the manual.

Y'know, come to think of it. I have an E-P2. I don't have the 20mm or 17mm primes (all my primes are legacies), but would a shot with the 14-42 be helpful to you?

Yes, it would, especially if you can find a book that's 17x11 or so -- I suspect the zoom kit lenses are going to be the only way to get these cameras very cheaply...

Good excuse to pull the 14-42 out from where it's gathering dust. ;) I think we have some 11x17" posters around, but the easiest might simply be to print out a sheet of pure (PD) text to 11x17. I could also grab the 10x12" 1876 County of Brant atlas. Edit: Misremembered. The atlas is closer to 15x18". Would that be good, or is that too big for you?

All of those options work for me... do the one that takes the least time and effort.

I have the same situation with my NEX... the 18-55 kit lens has just been gathering dust. :)

I'll try to take a couple atlas shots later today, or tomorrow. I'll get you a text page and a map, or the title page (fine lineart detail).

Instead of the atlas, I ended up photographing a book quite similar to the copybooks that DonnaA was speaking about. It looks like my biggest challenge is just avoiding camera shake when there's more front-heavy weight than I have with the G10! The slight fuzziness seems to be an artifact of that, particularly as it got worse the longer I kept the shutter speed up.

Here is a full-size JPEG. Can we get attachments over 512K?

Awesome! This is plenty good for testing, methinks. EDIT: I'm gonna say it's better than plenty good... it's great!

I just made them unlimited in size, well, I think I did... if there's a PDF attached to this post, I really did.
