EyeFi + CHDK

Postby JonEP » 15 Mar 2011, 11:56

I'm looking over at the eye-fi forums, but wonder if anyone here uses eye-fi cards plus chdk. Previously, eye-fi did not have a lock switch, making it difficult. But there is now a switch on the standard 4GB card, and I'm hoping to set it up. Interested to know if there's anything I should be looking out for.
Thanks.

I've played with it and I didnt' run into any issues with using eye-fi with chdk or sdm. One thing to be careful though.. the write tabs are pretty fragile on those cards, so be careful when you move the tab.

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get chdk installed on an eye-fi card. There's a glitch with cardtricks not recognizing a card that is currently being accessed by the eye-fi software. To get around it I've tried using cardtricks on my laptop (no eye-fi installed), but it wants to "format as FAT" first, before making it bootable. Eye-Fi cards are already FAT formatted (not sure if FAT32), but the "make bootable" button is greyed out. So I'm stuck...

Go ahead and let it format the card. Formatting an EyeFi card doesn't cause any problems.
