The new scanner made by the.traveller

Today March 27 2010 I have been clicking on a lot of links to see if there is a scanner which I like best.

Shopping
This last week I bought 2 Canon Ixus 105's for € 77 each, brand new. See my post in Agora.
I still need to order 2 Canon ACK-DC40's for supplying power to the camera's. Probably bought from Amazon.
Some acrylic, I don't know yet which type. I still have to find a thread on that. I already counted out tiger glass since it is so readicoulously expensive in the Netherlands. Also expensive is the coated glass. On this moment I got a piece of glare free acrylic for free. I will use that for flat magazines/Comix and newspapers.
I am going to find out where Clemd bought his LED lamps, so I don't have to buy single Led's and myself building a lamp with them.
I like the looks of the LCD panels for having a view on how the picture is aligned and so on. Still have to find out where in the USA or China they can be bought.
In one of the threads I have seen a trigger which has a mini usb connector. I am going to search suppliers from China who make/sell usb cables and connectors. Introduce to them the idea to have battery charged triggers with two or more mini usb connections with a decend long cable. Even if that is not ready avaulable there should be a spliter to be found that split a normal USB female connection into a 2 USB female connection.
The reason for this is that with each of my camera's a mini USB to USB cable came in the package. So the professional trigger from Rycoh (?) could be used without cutting into the original cables.

Hm, if I want to trigger also the LED's in the way which is shown by one of the members and is to be seen on Youtube then I probably need a 3 way splitter.

I will update this text, if that is possible, each time I have something new.

Thanks to the help from Spamsickle and Jay who helped me with some mathematics. I finally know how large my scanner will be. It will be Daniel's standard scanner with improvements from Clemd and Drake.
