Re: New project to support avialogs.com and questions
Not all designs have a 90 degree cradle/platen. Right now I can't remember the exact angle on the hacker space model but I think it's 100 degrees or so. Daniel long time ago made a number of videos related to the subject: http://diybookscanner.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1149 . Short story ab...

Re: PDFBeads 1.0.9 for Windows
Any ideas what I am doing wrong (Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 1) You're not telling PDFBeads which files you want it to proceed. Re: Canon compact with battery on the side?
Think most can. I have the PowerShot A810 and on that the USB port is on the right side of the camera and the opening for the power supply is on the same side even though the battery compartment opens at the bottom.

Re: Cameras for the Hackerspace Scanner
As I'm currently just using a very simple single camera scanner I don't have any troubles using my Canon PowerShot A810 but if at some point I was going to use it on a Hackerspace Scanner there's one thing that concerns me a little. It might not be a problem at all or there might be a very easy solu...

Re: A push for the wiki
Yes, as explained in several later threads in this part of the forum. A note about it on the front page might be a good idea but since you were able to find this thread you should have found the information long before that.chrisgage wrote:The wiki URL on the home page currently gives a 404 error....
