Re: Native font translation - Not Minion Pro/Times New Roman

Also, what form of output from ST are you using, in terms of file format and any other parameters that could b...

Re: Acrylic glass - Anti-reflective vs Non-glare

I am planning to use acrylic instead of normal glass for my scanner design. While hunting for the best possible options for acrylic I am faced with a dilemma on weather to choose a anti-reflective vs non-glare or just buy a normal clear acrylic as was mentioned somewhere in this forum. Would love t...

As another CZUR scanner owner, I would also be interested in this solution, whatever that would be (software/hardware). Best t...

Re: book scanning...

@TDavLinguist: I have downloaded your TIFF file attachment, good result (300DPI, Black and White image with LZW compression) but for some unexplained reason the download count still shows that the file hasn't been downloaded yet??

Re: Another scanner design using plastic tubing

First, a note about the above English translation of mariano collado 's original Spanish build instructions. When I downloaded the file and first viewed it on my Linux laptop, the instructions viewed in several installed PDF viewers were not in English, however viewing the same downloaded file again...

Re: Another scanner design using plastic tubing

Oh wow, thanks for pointing that out and starting said thread! I'd like to head over there with additional questions and any insights I've gleaned, since I'm already in the process of tracking all this information down. Haven't located the placeholder thread you started - I searched for posts start...

Re: Another scanner design using plastic tubing

Worthy effort, but one thing anyone considering building a scanner based on David Landin's very original design should keep in mind is that he modified some details in later iterations: some details particularly relating to the platen angle were revised in his latter Instructables version, and in a ...

elbourne's profile shows him as having last visited the forum in 2021, so it doesn't seem too likely that he will respond, however you could try contacting him directly by PM or using his listed email address. Spreads was developed by Johannes Baiter, and his profile shows him as not having visited...
