pdf viewer/editor in perl?

I must admit to major disappointment with Book Scan Wizard, with no java support in Firefox. I like ScanTailor, but is not what I really want. Since my compilers are old, many of them no longer work. Re: Hand scanner issue

Have similar unit. VuPoint Magic Wand. Shelved. Issue is flaky switches. I have had to take it apart to clean, and it is a pain. If you can not get to the 'glass' with a lens wipe, you are pretty much stuck with having to disassemble. Considering the cost, I would toss it.

Re: How to scan with slightly raised texture on page?

Well, not the same artist, but I think the link gave me the clue to search further. The art form is called 'quilling'.

Thanks.

I like it! I remember seeing one of an owl before, but lost the link. Any chance you can tell me where you found this one? It looks to be the same artist.

Re: Scanning Reference books

Vanille, As in PDF internal links, or as html framework to image links, or as pure OCR, or as... Frankly, there is not enough detail about your desires to even hazard a guess. OUR, the Librum's, SOP is to make images, put them into a pdf, but not to do the OCR ('find text'). We take and make an ATOC...

Let me preface this post by saying IANAL. (I Am Not A Lawyer)(pronounced I-Anal) ;) . I am a research librarian who often has to work in the international copyright framework, but/so please consider my comments as 'layman'. The copyright issues are even more complex than most people realize. Mr Brew...

Re: Post something about yourself here (The Hello Thread)

Thank you for letting me access. I am Sarah, the senior research librarian of the Librum. Librum, translated, is 'scales', or 'place where scales are kept', so a Librum is a community center, which usually includes a 'Librium' (library)(note the ' i ' ). Our old order Mennonite enclave is part of a ...
