I've gone through all the CNC files I could find and have redrawn them in Vectric Aspire to cut on a ShopBot in Baltic Birch.
Here are the toolpaths:
XY Parts Preview:
Iso Parts View:
Sourced parts and materials from McMaster-Carr, Amazon, OnlineMetals, and Ligthology.
Waiting on a bid to miter low iron glass for the platen.
Need to select cameras and setup a test rig for the software.
Go!

Brett, I've got a ShopBot PRTAlpha 96 and I'd love to get a copy of that Aspire file from you if I could!

Re: New Archivist Build
Had to zip the Aspire v11 file to upload here.
It's a first draft and I'm still working on the build so haven't confirmed parts yet.
Let me know if you find any corrections.

Re: New Archivist Build
I was able to order some custom cut glass for the platen, 16-3/8in by 12in, annealed.
Didn't find an online glass fabricator to do a 50-degree bevel on one of the long edges, so pencil edges it is.
Did go with low iron glass for better visual clarity, no green tint, only available in 1/4in thickness and more expensive.
Cracked the spine on a book printed in the 70's, Sunspot by Steve Baer, while scanning with a CZUR ET24 so the pages are falling out.
Building this scanner got more important for preserving fragile books.

Rats. You've got v11 and I'm still on v9.5.
BTW, you might reach out to a local glass shop and find out if they can bevel glass for you - you may have to buy the panes again, but two small sheets of glass shouldn't be that expensive.
Thanks for taking the time to zip up the file and upload it!

Re: New Archivist Build
I first contacted a local shop, they refused to do bevels, quoted Starfire glass, cut to size, 2 pieces for ~$650 USD.
Paid less online, still over paid, but have glass and can keep going.

Re: New Archivist Build
Did you tell them you only wanted the glass and not the molten tin pond it was poured on?
Have you thought about building a jig and doing it yourself using a sander or grinding stone?

Re: New Archivist Build
I upgraded to Aspire 11.5 today and the file looks great, thanks! No idea when I'll get around to cutting it though.
