Hello
I am archivist from India. I have a Kaiser Copy stand (http://www.kaiser-fototechnik.de/en/pro ... sp?nr=5510) that I use occasionally for digitizing loose sheets or newspapers.
For most of these sheets (which were stored in folded state) I am having the issue of pages not being flat. So the captured image is not in a satisfactory state. Now I am planning to place a glass sheet above it before capturing. So I need a proper glass plate (a bigger one) for this purpose. For the easy handling of the glass sheet and to avoid scratches I need to have a proper glass holder.
Do the community have some recommendation for the glass and glass holders (to use along with the copy stand)? Recommendations for the type of glass, glass holders, and so on for this purpose is most welcome.

Thank you. I saw the Kaiser product. But that is more suitable for a book.dpc wrote: ↑04 Jan 2021, 21:36 You may want to start by looking at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3590
While searching for a solution for this, I saw this DIY product (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1H4ckVm ... QKLcf/view) which is available in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=140&v=MU6H7dEzTMY
I think a similar solution is the requirement for the issue I raised.
Re: Glass plate for Copy Stand
Right. That is for books and is overkill for your needs, but read through the rest of the thread where I posted a link to the type of hinges it uses. In your case, you'll need two of those hinges mounted to the glass that will pivot on the base of your copy stand. You don't need the foam padding that is below the glass in the Kaiser product, nor the ability for the glass plate to adjust for varying heights.Thank you. I saw the Kaiser product. But that is more suitable for a book.
If you want something quick and easy that will do the job, you can make a hinge out of duct tape.
