Hello
I consider to bay Lenovo x240. I will by use it among others to TTC. The problem is that this model and also other newest like X250 and X260 has only two USB ports , to work witch TTC I use 3 usb ports ( two for cams and one form mouse as a trigger) .
I try to use USB hub but with bad results. TTC has problems when on one USB port there are two devices connected.
I was thinking about using PRO DOCK for. example Lenovo Pro Dock ( 40A1) equipt with 3 USB 3.0 port.
HOW TTC work with DOCK ? Have somebody some experience with using DOCK's with TTC ? Mayby there are other solutions to heve one more USB port ?
Best Regards

FWIW I have used TwoCamControl with two cameras connected to a USB extension cable and then to an inexpensive noname USB hub (without external power supply) without any problem.

But hard to say if and why some USB hubs haven't worked in your setup. You might just have to try a few different ones.

TwoCamControl version 2018-08-30 released

https://github.com/nod5/TwoCamControl

Changes
https://github.com/nod5/TwoCamControl/b ... ANGELOG.md

Download here
https://github.com/nod5/TwoCamControl/releases

Note: this release makes several changes to the zoom commands and other parts of TwoCamControl.
Feedback is very much welcome on this version. That includes short comments of the type "it works fine with my Canon model ____ camera".

You hard work is much appreciated dtic. I STILL haven't got round to making my scanner yet, but the functionality this software provides will make my task so much easier. Thanks for all the help. :)

I'm glad you like it :)
Though the people who make CHDK firmware and chdkptp are the ones doing the really hard work I'd say.

So just recently I got a new camera. Now I have 2 x SX130IS. I can normally connect both cameras, control zoom and everything seems all right up until I start a project and try to make pictures. It says
con 4> path C:/_a/_sx/twocamcontrol 181107/20181107234325/0005Ls
ERROR: unknown command 'path'

con 4> path C:/_a/_sx/twocamcontrol 181107/20181107234325/0006Ls
ERROR: unknown command 'path'

con 4> path C:/_a/_sx/twocamcontrol 181107/20181107234325/0007L
ERROR: unknown command 'path'

con 4> s
ERROR: unknown command 's'
I'm using version 2018-11-07 and CHDKPTP r785. Do you have any idea why is this happening? Could it be because SX130IS does not have Filewrite support? If so, how would you build an ebook scanner using these imho good cameras?

I do think that error is because the SX130IS lack filewrite support. See the "No" in 4th column for the line SX130IS here http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CameraFeatureTable . You can try using TwoCamControl without direct download of images to the PC. Instead you'd then save them to the SD cards and later manually transfer them all over to the PC in one go outside of TwoCamControl. To try that save to camera mode uncheck the "PC save" checkbox in the setup tab.

It may be possible to add filewrite support to certain cameras by improving the CHDK firmware. That is something you'd have to ask about in the CHDK forums and would likely also involve you spending time testing firmware code on your cameras.
