Search SUCKS!!!
Really I cannot search "lights source" "plate" this forum is VERY small i should be able to search these things.
Re: Search SUCKS!!!
I found only one page with "lights source" "plate." I think phpBB doesn't do quote searches. Instead, I use patience and also use the browser's search function.
...when the light source is 45 degrees...
...that will change to a mount plate- again, ...

phpBB has its limitations but I think their search engine is okay and pretty fast now. Years ago, their search function was awful. But now, I can't wait to use it.

Re: Search SUCKS!!!
There's a default limitation in PHPBB that sets these thresholds very low. I changed it about 5 days ago, but it told me that I need to "rebuild the database" to get it to recognize those terms. If anybody knows how to do that, please let me know, I'm not an expert with PHPBB.
I am, however very interested in fixing the search function.
Also, you can use the site operator on Google. http://www.google.com/search?q=%22light ... canner.org

Re: Search SUCKS!!!
I deleted the old search index. Now we should be able to search for all words down to three letter words. If it uses too much CPU, I'll have to set it back.
Re: Search SUCKS!!!
I can't get it to find anything at the moment.

Yeah, I think I now need to rebuild the search index because it did not do so automatically. Ugh.

Search Incomplete
I think something is amiss. I feel pretty sure that in at least one post I've used the term "hidden-Markov model" or "statistical pattern recognition" and neither "markov" nor "statistical" return any hits. Moreover, when i search "ocr" I can find a few hits, but not nearly enough.

the index may take time to rebuild.
