- HUB - 1) powers the cameras, 2) USB switch hub, 3) specific left/right camera buttons, external switch that shoots both cameras. I'm using RJ11 (phone jack) for connecting camera power

Awesome buildup and documentation. How did you get such great cuts on your acrylic?

This hub has the following benefits:
1) Powers the camera
2) You have a specific button trigger an individual (left or right) camera
3) You can connect or disconnect external button (convenient for store away)
4) Small - used a two jack external telephone housing
I don't know much about electronics, so proceed at your own risk. Hopefully, an electronic guru will tell us the dangers of this design. I got one year warranty for my cameras (so I feel like taking a risk : )
Little electronic thingies includes, an LED, one 100 ohm resistor (the picture show 100k, not 100), two NPN transistors
1) Powers the camera

I had the local plastic dealer cut the acrylic to my dimensions, which :daniel_reetz wrote:Awesome buildup and documentation. How did you get such great cuts on your acrylic?
8 1"X12" - these pinch the glass.
1 12"x12" triangle (cut a 12x12 square diagonally).
1 8"x8" triangle (other half of the square).
These dimensions fit perfectly for the 12"x16" glass that are available at home depot. .
I also got 5/8" screws, which are just the right length for pinching the glass.
